How much is your device worth?

How it works

Selling your mobile or tablet is easy with RPC Recycle. The following information will help guide you through the steps you need to complete in order to sell your phone or tablet.

1. Search

First you'll need to find the device you wish to sell. Using the search bar at the top of the page type in the name of the phone or tablet, for example "iPhone 5". Click the 'Go button'.

2. Pick your device

You'll then be taken to a page with all the devices which match your search entry. Simply select the device you wish to sell.

Tip: Some devices look the same but have variations in memory size e.g. 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Please check the name of the product to make sure you have the right one.

3. Select the right network

After selecting your device you will be taken to a page where you will need to select the network carrier to which the device is locked e.g. Vodafone. The amount we will pay for your device updates depending upon your selection. If you have more than one of this device to sell you can increase the quantity using the quantity box under the price. Once you are satisfied that you have selected the correct network and quantity and are happy with the quoted price click or touch 'add to basket'.

4. Check your items

After adding a device to your basket you'll be taken to the basket page. Here you can delete devices in your basket (select the bin symbol next to the device you wish to delete) or increase the quantity of particular devices in your basket (your total value adjusts automatically). You can still add further items to your basket - simply click the 'Add another item' or start searching again as in Step 1.

5. Select a payment method

If you're happy with the items in your basket and wish to proceed the next task is to select a payment method. Choose from either bank transfer , PayPal, Cheque, or donate to charity if that is your wish (our chosen charity is Big C - Norfolk's Cancer Charity).

6. Select a delivery method

Now you need to select how you'd prefer to send your device(s) to us. Firstly you can choose to package and post the device to us yourself (please follow our packaging guidelines). Secondly you can request a delivery pack which you then post to us. Finally you can request a freepost delivery pack which is prepaid, however we only recommend this option for items valued at less than £50 as there is minimal cover in case of loss or damage.

Once you're happy with your payment and delivery choices select 'Continue' to proceed.

7. Review and confirm your order

You will now be taken to the checkout page where you will have a chance to check the details of your order and confirm. Please make sure you are happy that the devices, quantity, payment method, and contact name and address are correct.

Please note if your chosen payment method is PayPal you will be prompted to enter the relevant email address. If you chose to be paid by cheque the delivery address listed on this page is the address it will be sent to (you can edit as required). This is also the address to which any requested delivery packs will be sent.

Click 'Complete order' when you're happy that your details are correct. You will be taken to the order success page with details of what to do next. You will also be sent a confirmation email.

8. Delivering your device(s) to us

Now that your order is complete the next step is to send us your device(s). Depending on the delivery method you selected in step 6 you will now need to either package up you device and send it to us or wait for your delivery pack to arrive (this can take up to 3 working days). In all instances we recommend you read our packaging guidelines and posting guidelines

9. Testing and payment

As soon as we receive your device(s) our highly skilled technicians will test it to make sure it meets our working order criteria.

If it does not you will receive an email indicating a new valuation based on the condition of the phone - you may either accept the new valuation or request your device(s) be returned to you.

If it does you will receive an email to confirm this and your payment will be processed the same day.
